The AltaGas Townsend facility celebrated its official grand opening, with gas processing equipment designed and built by Startec.
During execution, Startec worked closely with the engineering company to expedite the delivery of all process and refrigeration modules, delivering the project ahead of schedule. This allowed AltaGas’ anchor tenant, Painted Pony, to process natural gas at the facility over a month early.
Since shipping the engineering and fabrication modules, Startec Service has stayed actively involved in the commissioning and start-up of the facility: re-connecting ship-loose components, fine-tuning the PLC programs, as well as charging and starting up the refrigeration loops.
Startec’s Compression and Process engineering team has been on site to assist, troubleshoot and start-up several of the unit operations including the process modules, stabilizer and de-butanizer.
