State-of-the-Art Facility

When Lamb Weston discovered the outstanding potato growing climate of Taber, Alberta, the company turned to Startec to develop the refrigeration system for a state-of-the-art French Fry production plant.

One Million Pounds of Potatoes per Day

Startec designed and built the process refrigeration system for the 400,000 square foot facility, which processes one million pounds of potatoes per day.

Planning for Future Expansion

In designing the plant, Lamb Weston wanted us to plan for the future. So we specified a refrigeration system that will easily and cost-effectively accommodate a planned expansion, which will double production capacity.

A Worldwide Leader

Lamb Weston is a division of ConAgra Foods and is a major supplier of frozen potato products worldwide. French Fries from Lamb Weston's Taber plant are sold to restaurants in Canada and the United States.
